The PDDV on Memorial Day 2014 in Upland, PA.

Thank you for visiting the website of the Pipes and Drums of the Delaware Valley, a Scottish competition and parade pipe band based in the Wilmington, DE, area.

The Pipes and Drums of the Delaware Valley celebrated their 50th year in 2012 and are, under the musical leadership of Piping Instructor Tom Thomson and Drumming Instructor Eric Gettler, offering experienced and aspiring musicians the chance to learn and perform Highland piping and drumming.  The band competes in Eastern United States Pipe Band Association (EUSPBA) events as well as performs in parades throughout the Delaware Valley.  PDDV is unique for their service to the Delaware National Guard, playing at departure and return ceremonies for soldiers coming and going to fields of combat.  We are also known for being a 50+ year old, multiple award-winning band with a supportive, fun, and family-like culture.  With unique instructional depth, we are able to fully develop a member’s capabilities.

We encourage experienced musicians as well as potential new students to visit us on Thursday nights at our new location in Arden, Delaware!  Rehearsals run from 6 to 9 pm.

We are also available for your next parade or concert performance, and members of our band are available for private performances such as weddings, birthdays, and funerals.

We are passionate about our music and heritage and are always seeking new members!  Contact us at band@pddv.org or ‘like’ us on Facebook by clicking the box to the right.  You can also find us on Twitter @PipesDrumsDEVal and on Instagram at pipesdrumsdelawarevalley.

The Pipes & Drums of the Delaware Valley is a 50+ year old pipe band serving Delaware, Southeastern Pennsylvania, Eastern Maryland, and Southern New Jersey, providing quality Highland bagpipe and drumming performances, competition, and instruction.
